In 2000, 28% of domestic assault victims in Greenville County were men, 72% were women.
Domestic violence is the leading cause of injury to women, more than accidents, muggings, and rapes combined.
More than 3.3 million children witness parental abuse and domestic violence each year.
Children raised in violent homes are 74% more likely to commit assault.
