Chase Away the Blues is now Chords of Compassion.
For almost two decades, Chase Away the Blues was the premier fundraising event for Compass of Carolina. After a break of a couple of years, this highly regarded concert event has returned as Chords of Compassion. The name has changed, the venue has changed, but the purpose of this concert remains the same. Chords of Compassion raises funds so Compass of Carolina can meet the needs of people in Greenville County who need compassionate support and direction.
In 2017, Chords of Compassion helped Compass provide free counseling services for more than 70 adult victims of domestic violence and 10 children through our Domestic Violence Starts Small program. We also were able to provide 10 full scholarships to teenagers in our Second Chance program.
For the third year, our fall concert will be at the elegant Warehouse Theatre in downtown Greenville. Join us on Friday, November 9th for an event that will make a difference in so many lives. The doors open at 7 p.m. for the silent auction, food and drinks. The Jamie Wright Band starts up about 8 p.m. and they will have everyone on the dance floor within a few minutes.
