EVENT DESCRIPTION The inaugural Hopefall Gathering offers sponsors the and the community the opportunity to become actively engaged in the important work of Compass of Carolina. Our biggest fundraising event of the year, Compass has partnered with Larkin’s Catering and Events to host this year’s luncheon at The L, a true gem tucked away right in the heart of downtown Greenville. Attendees will enjoy a delicious lunch as they connect with other mission-minded community members to learn more about the exciting initiatives underway at Compass and the incredible historical impact of the organization.

Held during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, the luncheon will feature stories that convey the hope that individuals and families find when they turn to Compass. Participants will also be provided with helpful information on how they may become more involved and help increase awareness regarding the critical services available to those in great need in our community.

Michael Cogdill to Share His Gripping Story with Hopefall Gathering Guests

Former WYFF4 News Anchor Michael Cogdill will be the keynote speaker at our first-ever Hopefall Gathering benefiting Compass of Carolina. His participation in this inaugural event is particularly fitting as his compelling story carries a message of hope and redemption.
Michael is a survivor of childhood domestic violence. His family lived a rare story of recovery. Every day Compass of Carolina offers help to domestic violence victims and others, working to compassionately guide individuals and families to a path of healing.

During Domestic Violence Awareness month, Michael’s story will be a call to peace. Join us as he shares a poignant and uplifting message and learn more about the vital work of Compass of Carolina in our community!

EVENT PURPOSE Funds raised at the Hopefall Gathering will enable Compass to expand our reach to serve additional individuals and families in the Upstate. The event proceeds will help to strengthen the efforts of Compass to enrich the lives of those who rely on us.
